ISSUE 40:
New Year New You?
Welcome to the 40th issue of the ABS newsletter! First of all, happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a very festive holiday season. It is that time of the year where new years resolutions take shape and many try to jumpstart their goals. Fitness improvements, in particular, are a very common resolution to have. Today we are going to chat about some key pillars to focus on and some to keep perspective that Rome doesn’t need to be built in a day.
New Year always brings the promise of a reset of sorts. We change the calendar year and refresh an opportunity to leave the negatives of the previous year behind while aiming to have more positive outcomes moving forward. Perhaps the biggest surge of interest is at the gym where memberships spike and more folks are consulting coaches to help them get more fit, more athletic, and healthier.
What should a New Year’s Resolution include?
a clear concise goal
a precise timeline
an action plan
sub-goal check points along the journey
a support system
Let’s discuss and elaborate a bit more about working towards (and achieving) our resolutions.
The outline of our conversation:
1. General intro.
2. Happy New Year!
3. How should we structure New Year’s Resolutions?
4. What should we keep in perspective as we transition to a new year?
5. My takeaways and motivational sendoff!
I greatly appreciate your viewership; catch you all in the comments. Stay tuned for the 41st issue next week! Hope everyone had a fantastic start to the new year!
