Establishing that initial plan is integral to client success and can really set the tone and focus on the initial changes powered by coaching.

Allow for a full understanding of coaching expectations
Set the tone that the coaching and behavioral changes will be challenging and demand effort
Establish criteria for success
There will likely be sacrifices that need to be made to progress towards one’s goals
Establishment of a client’s support system beyond the coach
Realistic long-term commitment and planning for achieving outcomes
